NEW DELHI: As the week comes to an end, we take a look at the news that was in the spotlight this week. The past seven days saw several new launches coming from big firms such as Google, Amazon and Huawei. Here's your weekly dose of tech news:Google launched a bunch of new devices this weekincluding its latest Pixel smartphones. Other than the all-new Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL smartphones, the company also introduced a new DayDream View headset and couple of speakers called Google Home Mini and Google Home Max. It also took the wraps off its PixelBook laptop alongside the Pixel Buds wireless headphones and Google Clip AI-based camera. The Pixel 2 and the Pixel 2 XL will be up for pre-orders in India from Flipkart and are priced at Rs 61,000 and Rs 73,000 onwards.Honor launched its first smartphone with four cameras in India . Called Honor 9i, it has a 13MP and a 2MP camera at the front along with a 16MP and a 2MP sensor at the back. The Android-based Honor 9iis priced at Rs 17,999 and will be up for grabs on Flipkart starting October 14. The smartphone has a 5.9-inch full HD+ display, an octa-core Kirin 659 processor, 4GB RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage. HP launched two new laptops under its 'Spectre' brand this week. The company introduced the Spectre 13 and the Spectre x360 13 laptops, of these the former is claimed to be the thinnest laptop in the world. The new laptops come with Intel 8th-generation Kaby Lake processors under the hood. It will be made available in the Asia-Pacific region and Japan from this month.
